It’s Okay To Feel

It’s okay to want a different life when I no longer find contentment in mine,
It’s okay to not have answers, nor feel I must find them,
It’s okay to let others help and accept their support.
It’s okay to accept the big, undefined changes in my life.
It’s okay to let these changes happen without needing their ‘whys’.

It’s okay to feel lost and not know what tomorrow may bring,
It’s okay to lean on others and show my vulnerability.
It’s okay to admit that my path may have been wrong,
It’s okay to mess up sometimes, as long as I keep going,

It’s okay to feel scared and overwhelmed in tough times,
It’s okay to lower my defences and stop fighting life.
It’s okay to forgive myself with gentle self-compassion.

It’s okay to let others see I’m not as strong as I seem.
It’s okay to accept love without feeling I owe anything,
It’s okay to admit that I’m lost and lack direction,
It’s okay to ask questions, no matter how big or small,
It’s okay to feel alone while I wait to find what’s next.

It’s okay to believe I don’t have to fear, for hope exists.
It’s okay to kneel before God each night, begging for guidance,
It’s okay to admit I don’t know why, but I’m ready to learn.
It’s okay to accept I’m not perfect, but my heart holds good,
It’s okay to change and embrace that shift, knowing it’s never too late.
It’s okay to accept I may never have answers, nor need them.

It’s okay to feel I’m okay, just as I am, in this moment.
It’s okay to free myself from the person I once was.
